Default I scraped my mag, help!!

Scraped my mag on the outer edge while going around a concrete curb. How do I fix it or should I take it to a pro? It looks like it's solid aluminum and could be filed down.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I did the same thing ones... If its just on the edge, you can use a dremel tool w/the sanding pads then follow up with the Dremel 'gun metal polish' kit ($9.95)...which has buffers+metal compound.

Actually, you don't even need to 'buff' it with the gun-metal polish kit, unless your just anal (like me)... but it comes out such that you need to be 18" or closer to even see it.

I'm not sure where Clayton is, but if you're close to LA, you can take it to Mag Masters in Santa Ana to get it fixed.

Thanks for the replies. Clayton is near San Francisco.
Are there particular sanding pads for the Dremel that should be used?

"Mag" is short for Magnesium. In the old days, custom wheels were made out of Magnesium because it was so light.

Used the Dremel and polishing kit as suggested. Worked pretty well but need something to give it that "spun aluminum" look. Any suggestions?

Well... I gave you the 'cheap' route... the next step is having it done professionally... REMEMBER you can buy a new rim for about 160bucks from H-n-A... SOOO... don't go crazy on spending major $$ repairing it... Besides, the Dremel look should be "good" until you have enough $$ to fix it right...
