I think I found the best way to protect the rear plastic window from creasing
i hope i am not repeating anyone else but i did search first. i think that if i buy a nice thick king size pillow and cover it with an inexpensive black pillow case it will add enough cusion and support for the window to hug and shape itself around the pillow and prevent creases and the metal frame of the top to lay on lower part of the plastic and cause bad creasing as well. i wish i thought of this the day i got my car. i am thinking of getting the rear segment replaced and starting all over using all precautions.
has anyone tried this what do you think?

Sounds like a good idea as long as the pillow is not too large. In hot weather the window(I use that term loosely) could stretch if it is under too much pressure from the pillow.
My window is pretty beat up too

Wouldn't it seem kind of funny getting out of your car and putting a pillow on the back window
? To me it's not worth all this. I love just putting my top down and driving off. I rarely drive with the top up and I use Plexus which is great. When my window gets bad enough I'll replace it.

ok
i have tried the boiling water trick but it didnt seem to do the trick 100%. it might have helped a bit but some creases are there for good. the pillow idea i think is good. as long as it fits the width and isnt to thick (just enough to stop the metal bar from touching the plastic) it should be fine. to replace the plastic is a mission. i also was wondering if you aimed a heat gun at a fair and safe distance, will it help shrink back to normal without melting. of course at a far distance!
