My 04's knob has holes all over it like the e-brake handle. 04's I see on here have a smooth finish

The smooth finish knob you are talking about could be either the OEM Titanium shift knob or an aluminum shift knob from the 00-01

I do believe some other Hondas/Acuras that have a similar shift knobs to the stock '02+ S2000 shift knob (leather wrapped) have had perforated leather.

As far as I know, the leather wrapped knobs for the S2000 have always been non-perforated from the factory.

I wouldn't be surprised if a previous owner had the OEM Ti knob or an aftermarket knob, and then swapped it back out for a Honda knob prior to selling the car.

What's especially funny is that I made that mistake six times AND they were underlined by the built in spell checker.

I suppose it's going to be that kinda day.

Corrected!
