I've also felt the car has plenty of punch below 6 grand. Don't know what everyone is complaining about, I hardly ever use the VTEC portion of the engine to do day to day normal traffice passes and even that puts me well ahead of traffic.

My bet is that he drives an Accord or Camry on a daily basis. Those of us with other (or previous) cars that have more punch down low tend to bitch a bit more.

Still, 6000 (or here at 5280 6500) and above the car is a hoot.

I agree......Its not a neck snapper.....Its wierd though i drive in my friends gt's or
older muscle cars and i am like dam i have no chance ...but when we race dam i am right there or ahead....Its strange you go much faster than ya think....horsepower is for speed .....torque is for burnouts.....lol....But the speed of the s2000 is very decieving because so little torque. But I am not complianing The s2000 ia a very...very...very special car. And hey a little nitrous does a world of good before vtec...also lowering the vtec engagement has made me much happier with everyday driving. droptop...speed...fun factor...9krpm...and ohhhh dam this car is sexy...mean...civilizied..athletic all roled into one sweet package for the money is one of the best cars on the face of the planet.

Sev ...wonder if the author was French Canadian Great article.

I know this is a crazy old thread ... but while doing a search on exhausts, I saw this...

Kinda made me chuckle seeing how the US/CAN dollar is standing right now
