Me and a bud were at a dealer last night and there was a Suzuka Blue on the showroom floor.

Hmmm...

My friend didn't care for the exterior color whatsoever. I am somewhat neutral on the color, but I think it's very feminine looking. Perfect for some cute little co-ed tooling around campus with her ponytail bobbing out of the back of her baseball cap...

But the color didn't really do it for me...it's kind of weak looking. It doesn't look as serious as, ummmm...a [ltred]RED[/ltred] one looks..

Well, the real shock came when they opened the door for us.

Man, toooo much BLUUUUEEE!!!

Blue carpet, blue seats, blue roll hoops (......), blue DASH!!! While the pictures I had seen before made the blue out to be much lighter in color, it's actually fairly dark. But what happens when these various things fade at different rates...!? You will have a ligther blue here, a darker blue there...yikes!

Ack, no...it's frighteningly blue. The other thing is that while there is a ton of blue, there is black too! Black door handles, black around the instrument cluster. Black console cover. Black steering wheel. It's like Papa Smurf took a huge you-know-what inside it...!

No...ack! Phooey...no good.

If they wanted to have this shade of blue outside, it should be a tan interior...IMO. But black would work, too...

I hope she likes BLUE!

She would look cute in it...it's a girly looking color.

All of this is just my opinion, of course...which can change at any given moment with no warning for no apparent reason whatsoever...

I haven't seen one yet. Wendy (susukasue) and I went looking for one last week, but the dealer had sold it. We did see a 2002 yellow. I could do without the aluminum trim...but not bad at all.

I saw one in a showroom a week ago. I was sorry I did not get a chance to see it outside in the sun. My reaction was wow, that is a strange new silver color, oh wait, that is the blue. The thing I keep thinking is that in bright sun it is going to appear lavender in color. I shudder every time I think about that.
We all like different things and I'm not stepping on that, I'm just saying it is a light color and it is not for me. And holy cow is there a lot of blue on the interior!!!

Greg,

You're right, I too think the suzuka blue is a bit of a feminie look.

And, I can just see it in my mind.. a cute little girl driving it around on campus.. she dun have to wear a hat... but her hair must be moving around... oooooo.... time to get off the keyboard...

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it in the brochure...It looks like the old silverstone metalic.
