$150,000 is insane!!! Didn't realize i was driving around an exotic. Are cars generally more expensive there or just sports cars?

I may be mistaken but I think I was told that in Norway, there's a 200% tax on automobiles. Therefore you'd pay $100,000 tax on a $50,000 car. That would bring you up to @ $150,000... Maybe it was Norway, maybe it was some other Scandinavian country...

I calculated the registration tax for an S2000 at roughly $40,000. It's all based on vehicle weight, engine displacement and engine power. S2000 gets nailed on the engine power which is really unfair in my opinion.

You also have to pay VAT at 24%.

Israel has 100% tax, and I thought that was insane.
