I want one!
Being a cadet, I pretty much have everything paid for(it's a $300K educational experience shoved up my a-hole a nickel at a time). I also get a fat car loan next year($26k 1.5% deferred until commissioning). And I also have a good job when I graduate...driving an S2000 ain't nothing compared to an F-15 or 16!
I think I could afford it, but yeah, it would be pushing it. But it is such an awesome car. It would be parked for most of the time though. I have plenty of time to decide...I'll probably end up buying a Miata, so I can drive the crap out of it and not kill myself. Thanks for the advice and I'm jealous of all you bastards that own my dream car!

Doesn't it suck to be 20 and to have to listen to reality from a bunch of 40+ year olds? But....if you listen....you just might pick up a little truth that will save you some big headaches!
Great choice to wait. Believe me, when I was your age I didn't have a pot to pee in. It'll all come. It seems like forever when you're on that side lookin' down the road, but from this side it seems like it FLEW! You'll be amazed one day at how quickly the time has passed and at how far you've come. Just hang in there and be patient. (Geeeez, I sound like my Dad....)

Darin, your are only young once, go for it!! I bought a great car when I was your age and in your position and had to work at night to cover the payments but it was worth it.
Just make sure you have a garage to keep it in.
