I wonder about Hytech headers?

sorry but it's really hard to truly tell how a car pulls from a video. So it goes back to my point you think the car is insane because it made a lot of noise.
Why don't you ask the many locals here that went for a ride in it!

damn man...did the test inc a free exhaust system??? if so u r crazy..if not oh well....and when was this offer presented to u...past 3 months ago??
Plus I think he would have charged me for the materials, on top of the EMS.
[QUOTE=AP1ByDesign,Aug 6 2004, 11:27 PM] Sorry Dan, but you don't only need a video to tell that it pulled alot harder than your everyday S2K.
Why don't you ask the many locals here that went for a ride in it!

[QUOTE] When I last spoke to John @ HyTech, he told me he would take my car in as the test car, as long as I bought an AEM EMS. He said he would not do it without an EMS.
John at Hytech is incredibly shady to say the least. Not going to get into specifics but from what I understand Hondata willl not work with him anymore do to a deal going sour. In addition I would not hold my breath on anything they tell you. They have been "working" on their supercharger with the laminova intercooler for the rsx as well as their turbo kit for the past 3 years, with a new bullshit story on why it is taking so long every time you call them.
You could have more luck with S, but like I said , I gave up on John and Hytech a long time ago.

A little bit of hostility....on this topic. My reference to the car was just an opinion and not fact so don't take it personal guys. I was just referring to the Hy Tech brand because I was interested in the development of it for the S2000 because of my good experience with them with other cars. Anyways, I want to eventually do the ITB setup for NA S2000. TWM ITBs are nice but was wondering if there are other options like Art's. Anyways, I'll talk to Hy Tech to see if we can get some prototypes fitted and see if production might be somewhere in the future.
The kit sounds pretty expensive to me. If you wanna go all-motor, i think this is probably the best route for you to take. I've heard of the crazy gains that hytech's all motor package makes on the rsx-s and i always wished that hytech would begin work on the S2000. I believe the S2000 and RSX-S both have very good potential to make all motor power. The edge going to the S2000 since it has a slightly better flowing head. However, the reflashable ecu on the RSX-S makes things quite a bit cheaper.

Hey guys,
I couldn't get a hold of Hy Tech, so I talked to Omni at Dynamic Autosports because they did a lot of work with Hy Tech. He said that they do make an S2000-specific application. If you look at their website, you can see that they do work with Formula cars and many drag applications. I know they're famous for their Tri-Y header design, can someone explain the benefits of this type of collector?

Are you forgetting I have those ITBs in my car, tuned by UL? He had 4.77 GEARS! That car wasn't tuned right, I have his maps to prove it. Ask UL and anybody else that has seen my car running on those maps, Art provided. No need to roll your eyes at me, you seriously trying to tell me that you guys going for a little joyride have more experience with the set-up then I do? I've driven from NYC to Tenn. I probably have more hours logged with ITBs on an S2000 then anyone in this hemisphere. But, obviously that doesn't account for anything. That video IMO was all noise, he (haninman) based his experience on that video, which I've seen and IMO proves nothing. Which I stated all along, which I proved in the end. The ITBs don't give this great immense hp that everyone thought they did. There is a small gain, which can be attributed to a number of things, like proper tuning with an EMS. There is no way to substantiate if the ITBs do much if anything, since you will need an EMS to run them.
Hytech makes a good product, but I just don't know that there is that substantial a gain for it to be worth while. The components listed in that kit isn't going to be the holy grail in getting hp out of a NA s2000.

Almost every component on this car is max'ed out. All aftermarket products produce huge gains on B series motors because the stock components lacked the R&D Honda found out and incorporated into the F20 and F22. After seeing the ITB's in action along with headers, and exhaust (though not Hy Tech...but still very high quality japanese manufactures) and riding in it a couple of times, it's faster...but nothing god-like and certainly not worth the price tag or the fact that it's a cop magnet/inspection failing machine. If you really want it to have it or be the first, then ya, it's justifiable to yourself. That's about as far as it'll go.
