you're getting raped.

gearset if it's richmond is $700. if it's 4.44 or 4.77 then it's a $300 mazda gear.

so let's assume it's the 4.57 richmond.

gearset $700
comptech diff $400
OEM parts needed ~$100
yellow box (are you even getting one of these?) ~$90

so that's $1290 in parts. labor should be around $350-$400 at most. someone is making bank on you my friend.

so what gearset are you getting and where are you getting it installed? do they have the appropriate experience?

also, this is a product question, so moving to S2000talk

Yes, it sounds hig to me too. For that price, you should get a new diff too. (IMHO)

i'm getting the 4.57 gearset,no yellow box i don't really know a good electrical shop around here so i'll just leave that alone for now.i was going to get it done at gt motersports there pretty good when it comes to stuff like this they do a lot of high end work but the price is still really high in my mind but i don't know of any other place in socal that i could trust with my car.alot of the shops around here are full of riceboys who think there 95 civic fourdoor is fast cause it has a lsvtec engine in it.so if i don't find another shop thats reasonable i'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If you're in socal you are really getting raped. Install can be had for half the price Wisconsin quoted with a ton of experience.

stratocaster,
Are you still doing the INSTALLED 4.57+comptech reinforcement for ~$1200 w/ core exchange? The one where all you do is change out the pumpkin and ship the old one back?

do you even have the gears? since you can only get them from rick's, just wait til they get more gears in, at which point they'll be doing the install/core exchange again.
