Default Idea: Glass or See-through Hardtop?

Has anyone thought of this, or even better - done this?

What would be better than a year round convertible for us who actually have winter?

Maybe tint it - mirror, super black!

What could a clear top be made out of?

The only thing I could think about is lexan or plexiglass. Glass would be wayyy too heavy to be used IMO.

No insult meant here, but as a serious consumer I would want something with taste. A clear soft top would look really cheesy.

HOWEVER, a hard top with a sunroof would appeal to me provided it's safe and looked really smooth and natural.

Good Luck, and pursue it if you get enough feedback

Sorry Poindexter, I didnt read well enough, but now I get what you were saying. The thought of a plexi or other material never crossed my mind when I read your post.

Now, I agree with you something like that would be nice if it were safe. Again Good Luck and hell! I think you would find a lot of folks who would want one.

Pursue it bud! you might be sitting on a goldmine!

Gee, a clear hardtop??

Even "with" the tinting, can we say "GREENHOUSE!"

No thanks, you'll "cook" in something like that.

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

PS: No offense intended. The idea sounds great in theory but I'd bet it's a really bad one in reality. JMO!
