Default ideas for cheap visual enhancements under hood

ideas for cheap visual enhancements under hood...

I was looking at some of rick's and muz's billet pieces....damn they are expensive! I guess I will have to buy them one by one but for now does anyone have any ideas of inexpensive ways to make "under the hood" more attractive?
thanks,
JON

I judged an auto show in New Bern a week ago loaded with imports that had cheap decorative mods. For example, many of the cars had the hoses covered with the kind of corrugated colored plastic tubing used to cable wire. It looked pretty bad, and as I was looking over the cars with this mod I thought the engine bays would have look better without it. I would advise that you do it right and wait, or do a little bit at a time. Otherwise, you'll end up doing much of it over and spend more money in the long run.

What is wrong with how it already looks? I think it looks great just as it is. Why cheapen it?

Aside from the RM pieces, I've powdercoated the valve cover, battery heat shield, and exhaust manifold cover; added a braided SS upper hose; and added silver hose, all of which is soon to be replaced with braided.

Here's a photo.

It is a great looking engine bay to begin with, but there is always room for improvement.
