ok i just got a new shifter from ricks...the voodoo magnum, and i want to put it on, and it says just to twist off the old one, but it's really on there and i dont want to break anything....do i need to unscrew the bolt on the bottom first or should the friggin thing just unscrew.....this is a retarded question but ya know....

 

yes you need to loosen the locking nut on the bottom
