If you could only do the Dragon or Out Banks, which one?

Default If you could only do the Dragon or Out Banks, which one?

Over the weekend we had a hit and run on our leased Honda Accord. This damage and some other damage done by my wife will cost us about $1000. I was going to do both the dragon and out banks, but now must choose one, if I can even afford to do even one of them! For those who have done both, which is more fun, scenic, etc?

Thanks,
Dave

Sorry to hear that Dave. Did you catch the person? Was she in the car? I am also paying to fix my car that someone bumped into and its quite expensive. Sorry I can't answer your question. I hope you dont have to miss out because of this. Good luck with it.

No, me, my wife and in-laws were in Best Buy shopping, came out and went to get in the car and there was a huge dent on the passager door and back quarter panel. We don't have any idea who did it ! I'm going to have to miss out on some of the planned events, as we had money set aside for these trips and have to use that cash to fix these dents and get them painted.

Your's and my luck sucks huh?

Well... I say skip Wake the Dragon , go to the Outerbanks Run, and start saving up for the Dragon Ball Run this fall.

Is the fall dragon run pretty much a given? Is that a better time of year? I'd like to kill two birds with one stone and finally see some fall colors, and drive my car on some winding roads.

Depends, have you ever done the dragon? If not then I say you have to. There is a reason why folks travel from all over to run that road.

I'm beginning to be swayed by the pressure from others... I just realized you live in Florida. If the beach is a common destination for you, then I'd have to switch my vote to the Dragon too...

Dragon all the way! Enough beachs in Florida, but not enough curves!
