If you were in control of the S2000's future
I know that I am not alone hoping that one day honda would suprise me in a release of another s2000...just the idea of an AP3! I love art and design and I have done quite a few renditions of what I would like to see. Like anything great, it is always difficult to improve on something that is already legendary and defended by loyal owners and enthusiasts. If honda were to release another S2K, where would we want styling cues to come from? What would change? Ill start out, nothing could make me happier than seeing the front of an S share similarities to the HSV 10...
I think the ap3 chassis would be only a minor change like ap1 to ap2 or like the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of miata improves. Just small things to modernize the car, but make sure it didn't add any extra weight. Also the styling cues would come from old Hondas and not new Hondas and DEFINITELY not Acuras.
I also think I would increase popular appeal of the car by softening it up a little bit and making it a little more comfortable. Just marginally, not big things. And definitely no automatic option.
So I would have the normal version with a quarter page long option sheet and I would keep the CR version with a AC/Radio option.

Minor body styling changes. At least 300 hp, 200 ft-lb, and 9k redline. Adjustable steering wheel. More factory performance options, like a more aggressive exhaust and suspension upgrades. The orange gauges and controls would have to go too- maybe red, white, or blue.
seriously? 300 is overkill for stock, that would most likely put the price through the roof, i would really only want maybe 260 considering the ammont of people that would modify it anyway and looking at the amount of FI s2000s, they should capitalize on durability for those who want to go all out with forced induction. (and keep the redline!)
but as for me, if they are going to do a digital needle-less dash they could make it more precise.
