Default Ignition and Steering wheel locked

I put the key in the ignition, and the key is not turning. The steering wheel is also locked and is not moving either. How do you unlock it?

Thanks

I nominate this for best thread since: "Does pulling the e-brake lock your steering wheel?"

How do I unlock the gas cap?

Is there really a secret compartment?

Its legit. I did this once when I first got the car. It was stuck and the key didn't want to turn forward. I eventually yanked the sttering wheel sideways and the key was then able to go forward.

Just bein honest. This was years ago and it was a hot day.

Shrugs, we all had to figure this out at some point, the shake and jiggle. haha. I still remember the first time I locked the steering too. The powers of deduction.

Doesn't EVERY car do this? You have to force the wheel a bit to free up the ignition lock.

Yup, even my old-school VW Bug ('71) did that.

One of the few things that a Bug and an S share!
