Unless it's a CTS-V, he should have gotten beaten easily. The only 1/4 mile time I found for a stock 04 CTS 3.6L is 15.0 (vs S2K's 14ish), and 0-60 in 6.6 (vs S2K's 5.5).

Possible conclusions:
a) S2000 driver error (didn't launch/missed shift/etc)
b) S2000 driver wasn't even aware the guy was trying to race
c) This guy exaggerated/made the entire story up because he's a huge douche, and he wants to feel good about his mediocre sedan. (this gets my vote)

You know what's funny, a guy i know was bashing on s2000s all day long just like him, then next i know he buys a 00 NFR lmao, go figure. The op's friend never drove the S or else he'd say i love rice.
