Default I'm in!

Just got my 04 Silverstone/black and love it. Now I'm going to worry about it all the time! One question: where is the owner's manual?; did a search of the forums, but didn't find an answer. Didn't find it in the trunk compartment. Before I harass the dealer, is it somewhere I haven't looked?

The "secret compartment." It's above the glovebox. When you open the glovebox, you will find a latch hidden on the top of the compartment, close to the front. It will open the compartment, which is usually where the owner's manual is stored.

It's probably in the secret compartment.

You should be extremely pissed with your salesman. It is his/her job to go over the basic features of this car.

congratulations! many safe rides...

I didn't give my sales rep the time to go over the car with me - he was right when he said that I probably knew more about the S than he did having been riding in & drivign a friends for some time...

but for a moment I didn't realize that the manual would be in the secret compartment .... just a very small part of the new S learning curve... now go out and enjoy all the other 'curves'

OTOH, I helped my mom buy a 2003 Accord. It had every bell and whistle known to man including the Navigational setup. We were at the dealership for several hours already before the deal was completed. Then the guy spent almost 1/2hr going over the car. My mom is over 60 and she zoned out after no more than 5 mins, but the guy JUST KEPT GOING. I kept trying to move him along, but he wouldn't skip anything. It was WAY too much.

My sales-puke didn't know about the secrect compartment. I asked for the manual while I was waiting for the finance dept to get around to me. I read about the secret compartment and showed it to my sales-puke.

Congrats on your purchase!

Finding or discovering the secret compartment is almost like an initiation that every S owner must go through. I unfortunately didn't have the pleasure of discovering it because of this forum
