I fell in love with the s2000 when it first debuted in 1999 and became a member of s2ki soon after.

In 2004 I graduated college and purchased a 2005 silverstone s2000. It was everything I imagined it to be.

In 2009 I sold my S for something bigger...boy do I regret that decision..

I purchased a 2011 STI last year but never fell in love with it. It was missing a soul...

And now i'm back in search of the car that made me smile every time I pushed the engine start button. I can't wait to find the right one!

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

 

welcome back man! My car is for sale right now, but looking at getting another one to replace it. Rather have GPW.

 

nice! i just passed up on an 07 silverstone with 10k miles for the color i really want. i had silver before and wanted something different this time around.

 

Very similar story here. Had an 04 TSX. Sold that last year for a '12 STi. Found a 07 S2k with 6k on it last Sept. Traded the STi (4.6k on it) in on the S2000 and have not looked back.


I put roughtly 5,000 miles on the S2000 this season and 5 Autocross events. What a car!!!

 

I sold my repainted GPW s2000 with a red interior two years ago, when I noticed that it did not ride as smooth as an s2000 that I drove from the dealers. Ever sense than I also purchased a clean stock 2005 wrx sti. I loved the car, it was fast, awd, 4 doors and sounded amazing with a blitz exhaust. I just didn't like the boat feel to the sports sedan. I sold it for a 1999 Honda accord...

Now I'm in a yellow Honda s2000 about two years after my first beauty. Here's my first s2k!

 

I had an almost exact story...

Purchased my first S in 2005. A used 03 Suzuka, then in 06 traded it in on a brand new 06 Laguna. Sold that in 2012 and picked up a new '12 STi wagon. And like you, never really fell in love with it, even though at times I miss it.

Now I'm S2000 crazy, and have already been through 2 after the STi.
