IM going to Install KAAZ 1.5 way LSD instead...
Since Honda refused to cover me. I made the dealer take their diff out of my car. IM not going to pay for a diff that cant hold to the test of time ( or racing which some feel happened ). So im installing a KAAZ 1.5 way clutch diff. Its really good I hear and its only going to set me back 900 bucks vs the crappy torsen diff of honda's for 3112.00. Should be done next week. I will take pictures of the whole install. My friends at Titan Motorsports are going to be doing it. They work on Supras all day so they know what they are doing. Just wanted to ask you guys who have it if they like theirs. Ive heard nothing but good comments about it from Integra and Civic owners. Thanks for the input.
Des,
Des,
ummm...
no.
i mean, i suppose i could have (once again) tried to train someone to use the Search functionality on this board (it DOES seem to be my role in life these days). but for some reason in this case i couldn't remember discussion in the past about who has a Kaaz diff installed, and knew the answer was probably pretty simple (ask the rev).
shrug
do you consider my attempts at member training stupid and annoying or merely futile?
no.

I think that you will be really happy with it. I'd like to upgrade my stock diff to a Kaaz at some point when I get my car.

Hey Des... I don't mean to burst your bubble, but the $3112 unit they installed in your car is a complete, assembled rear end (includes everything you see below already assembled). The Kaaz diff for $900 is just a differential (equivalent to part number 18 ONLY on the diagram). The Honda/Torsen diff also goes for about $900. I don't recommend the Torsen, but don't think $900 is all you're going to spend. On my car, I spent just a hair under $1400 to install my Kaaz by the time I bought bearings, seals, and Honda's special tools (there's a few odd tools you will need that are Honda-specific and will cost about $300). I didn't have to replace my gears like you do, I got everything at big discounts, and I did all the labor myself with a friend helping.

well email me with the parts i need. I didnt need the housing replaced. My car is now at home. I know ill need bearings and stuff but i can get that all at dealer cost through my dealer back home. My friends own a big shop named Titan Motorsports. They will be installing it for me after hours. KAAZ now makes a diff for the S2000. The 1.5 way is 900 and the 2 way is 175 more. So the bearings may come with it. I just need to call back. Thanks for the extra info. 1400 is still better than 3112.00.
