AP2 is unarguably better for DD but the MY03 you're looking at is low mileage and you should get it. Btw, price? or did I miss it.

DD'd mine for three years and 100,000 miles. Exect to change rear tires every 20k miles or less.

Reliability...mine was always broken down so I can't agree with you there.

Gas mileage won't be impressive. Like others have said, expect 250 to a tank. When I drove mine all highway I would only get 320 and I babied the car.

I get 22 mpg on combined city/fwy driving on my MY03. BTW I picked up my MY03 last year for $18,900 with 16k on the odometer. MY03 was the only model I was looking for.

I DD mine through New England (Providence RI, SEMass) winters. On proper tires, no problem on snow whatsoever.

MPG for my commute is 25mpg - 30mpg depending on season (Winter fuel sucks) and whether I take I-195 or backroads.

350Z = too bloated
RX-8 = great car, I love it, but fuel economy SUCKS. BAD.

Get the s2k.

I am a little biased as well but as far as AP1 I think that the 03' is the best year to have. You get the nice leather console as well as the heated rear glass window. Just my 2 cents.

My friend has a RX8. It is indeed a gas hog. Fun, but a hog.

I'm getting it for $17,500 taxed tagged and out the door

At this point barring something catastrophic I will own the car tomorrow. When I first drove it off the lot today I was really unsettled about the whole thing but after cruising around with it all afternoon/evening there is not a doubt in my mind that its the car for me.

Thanks to everyone who has chimed in with responses! Keep them coming.
