I'm picking up my yellow Stook tomorrow night. Put the deposit on it and gonna go pull the $4k down tomorrow afternoon. They are taking my SI and i'll be driving home with the stook by 6pm. I will have to drive 200 miles each way to find a dealer to do MSRP, but it'll be worth it.

If i could be so bold and ask you guys what your payments are and how much you put down on the car, and also the interest rate gotten as well for comparision, i'd really appreciate it. It will help put it in perspective for me tomorrow.

Being only 25, and making payments on my 2000 Prelude and a house here in the bay area as well, the stook puts a big strain on the 'ole wallet. But since i'm only young & single once, I wanna have fun while i can. Its so worth it and I am a diehard honda freak. This car represents a pinnacle in my acheivements so far. I got kicked out of my dad's place when i was 18 and I had nothing (long story). I went to Cal State Hayward, used my computer skills and geekness to earn and build up to what I've gotten to so far in my life. Buying a real respectable sports car has been my dream and goal for many years now. Sorry for the rant. Just excited!

I also went to Speedring in Santa Clara slapped $40 down, and ran 2 12 minute practice laps and it was an absolute blast. My arms are so sore from it! Talk about lateral Gs!

Any tips on the delivery would be great. I have that word doc printed out from s2ki and will take that with me.

Thanks guys!

Damn man, i don't want to get all salty. But i can really relate to your story. I'm probably a little older than you (30) and i'm married (8yrs tomorrow)with a house and an 8 yr old. I too am in the computer industry (network engineer). I had a few credit issues a few years back but my first car financed was a 94 4runner, then 94 gsr, 96 max, 2000 sh and now i've got the stook and a 2001 Tl. i put 8 grand down and my payments are 680 mo. i got a 10% rate from American Honda Finance Corp. I accomplished a lot by putting my nose to the grind and with a lot of hard work got to where i am today. Good luck with the stook.....you deserve it.

Congrats Ozy, I went from an Si to a Stook myself... your Si will soon become that "old mushy boat you used to drive"... I put $0 down at MSRP, and pay $680 a month for 66 months at 8.24%.

Congratulations Ozy. You won't be disappointed with your purchase. I put 2k down and pay $688/month (got car @ $33,500). Hard to get @ MSRP in Hawaii I think...Ï
