Default IMC Hardtop Hoist

Does anyone have any experience with a manual IMC Hardtop Hoist?

Looks like a good outfit.

In looking at the picture, it appears the block and tackle is only attached to the ceiling by a large eye hook. Does anyone know exactly how the B/T is attached to the ceiling joists?

I will be using with an 07 CR.

Thanks.

Good one. And what would you offer for such a rare car?

Bad typing, try 08

WOW!!! The motorized hoist is just ridiculously priced.

The manual one is even more absurd considering it's essentially a boat trailer winch.

Boat trailer winch (albeit with a strap instead of a cable, but whatev).

<60 bucks shipped.

I've been researching hardtop hoists because I live alone and rarely have someone around to help me put it on and off, I have a CR and I'd really like to enjoy the rare nice days in Seattle but throw it back on at night because it will likely rain the next day :-p I've come across some DIY hoists that look really cool but I think I'd like to take the easy way out and go with the manual IMC kit so that I can get it installed next week - our summers don't last long here

Has anyone else ordered this kit? Happy with it?

Thanks!

Do some searching. Prices can be negotiated. Here is mine. I have the hand winch which I really like. I can stop and lock it at any point. I am a senior citizen, and I live alone. I can install or remove in less then 5 minutes.

That's really great to hear, it looks like the cheapest I've found online is around $225 shipped. Do you mind if I ask how much you were able to negotiate it down to? Just for another data point, I won't mention it when I call or anything - just trying to make sure I don't grossly overpay

No tonneau does NOT fit under Hardtop.

I paid $115 for lift with manual winch. I think they sent the wrong one, but I noticed on the box it had been returned. Works fine for me
