Default Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Doesn't this look a little familiar?

Too bad it's not from another high-performance sports car. This is the instrument cluster from the new Suzuki Aerio.

It's not a very good picture (from their website). The June issue of Car and Driver has a much better picture of the gauge cluster and you really can see how closely it resembles the S2000's gauge cluster (with the exception of placement and some other details).

I think it was done for a reason. Look at the space it has to fit in. Its like a slit in the dash. If an analog instrument package was put in there it would be very tiny and nearly illegible.

It's not like this is the first digital dash. My old 300zx and maxima form the early/mid 80's had them. I think the 200sx came with one as well.

Hmmm, looks like the s2000 is a knight rider knock off.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, huh?

Here's the page it came from:

people *really* need to get off this whole "everything copies the s2k" mentality. Other owners coming onto this forum are gonna seriously start to think we're pompous weirdos.
