Does the 2002 model s2k come standard equipped with an anti theft immobilizer? For that matter does the 01 s2k come standard equipped with an anti theft immobilzer?

 

Yes, all S2000s come with the immobilizer.

 

All North American ones do - not sure about Europe. Japan and a lot of Asia does not get the immobilizer.

All S2000's are built in one plant at Tochigi in Japan. I was referring to the target markets.

The 1st lock button press locks it already. The second on is just a confirmation. Assuming you did not get any additional security system (incl. the Honda Accessory), there is no motion sensor in the stock setup.
