Yes you will need the daytime running lights installed. I just wired ignition to the power source for my HID's. That was the easiest way. He turned on the car checked them and turned it off. I immediately disconnected it and passed the inspection. If you dont get the letter you can register the car on honda.com and get all the recal information from there. That is what I had to do because the previous owner told honda that he was selling the car to a canadian citizen and they would not give him the recall letter at that point.

neeman, someone else wired up my HIDs as you indicated for me and for the life of me I can't figure out how to undo it now. I don't have any wiring diagrams. Do you have any pictures of which wires would be connected for this?

Thanks

It depends where he took ignition from, I took it right from the ecu. You could look for a wire coming right from the ecu going into the engine bay through the firewall. I wired right into the wires going into the little holes beside either fender I forget the colour of them but I can check. The easiest is to look for an added wire on your ecu harness that goes out through the little hole on your firewall and then follow that wire to remove it. Dont forget to put electrical tape over the removed connections.

no the speedo is digital you just hold down the button on the cluster for 5 seconds and it changes to KM/H. Also, convertibles are exempt from the child restraint requirements. All you will need is the DRL's.

I dont think the vehicle needs to be modified at all to take from Canada to USA. Same process of obtaining recall clearance letter from Honda Canada, ownerships and bill of sale I would assume.
