Default importing s2k to canada- any mods needed?

hi everyone, im hoping to buy an s2k in the us and bring it up to canada. im familiar with the process as i have done this with an accord. im just wondering what years of s2k had daytime running lights, immobilizers and the dash that switches between km/h and mph. im primarily targetting ap2's. it seems as though 2007's dont require any mods whatsoever, im wondering if this is true for 2006, 2008 and 2009's as well?

thank you very much for your help!

2006 was the first year of the s2k's w/ DRL's
All S2000's came with Immobilizers.
I know that the ap2(2004+) can be switched from mph to kmh with a press of a button. I think the older s2k's can have the same done, not 100% sure though.

Seems like you should be looking into a 2006+ S2k for it to have all three of those features that you mentioned(mainly because the DRL's were standard in the 2006+ models).

Also need to make sure that the vehicle has no outstanding recalls before taking it across the border. They usually ask for that. Since you can't get recall work done on a US car in Canada.

Just to confirm I have an MY00 S2000,and my buddy has an MY02 S2000 (so all AP1's), both can be switched from mph to kmh and that also sets the odometer and trip meter to km and miles respectively.

I'm going to be moving to Toronto in the summer of 2011... But will still have the car insured and registered in New York... Do I need any of these changes? I'm planning on buying the car in early winter to get the lowest price possible.
