Default improving handling

ok guys im a real newb on this forum..bought my Ap1 back in january, lowered it on some tein flexs and installed an AEM cold air intake. now what i really want is to make my car handle very well, i kno it handles well stock already, but i want to fix up all my handling first. I also just installed a strut bar on it. dont kno if it helps but i tell myself it does so i dunno. basically, what things do i need to make my S handle well. i've heard of Xbraces, sway bars, tie bars, all kinds of things, what do you fellow S2k owners recommend.

The X-brace and some aftermarket anti-swaybars would be a good place to start.

Here's a very popular x-brace...

Here's a swaybar ideally suited for street use (now available only in silver)...

I'm planning on going the same route. Does anyone have an opinion on Bilstein PSS9's?

thanks a lot for the input...as far as braking goes, i had a little trouble, i need better brakes but the stuff i see like brembo are too costly. how do i improve my braking..say i have 500 to spend on brakes. do drilled slotted rotors help. i kno they cool down faster or somthing but do they improve stopping distance. i speed a lot and i need to stop fast too lol, help!

^^^ Not to mention with a big brake kit you need bigger wheels in order to clear the calipers. For the cost you're probably better off with just upgrading the pads. I don't know about other people's experiences with drilled/slotted rotors, but I've seen them crack when tracked.

changing pads is a start. for everyday use nothing beats our OEM pads but for track changing pads is a good idea. slotted/drilled rotors are there for endurance (think brake fade) they may or may not help in stopping distances.

i'm adding swift springs, spoon spec showa dampers, and a swift front sway bar to help aid in handling. i'll let you know how it handles compared to what i got now (stock). tires will make a big difference more than suspension components.

It would help if you could say what aspect of the dynamics of the car you want to change. "Make my S handle well" is pretty much meaningless, which is why you have received pretty much meaningless answers.

It's a cliche because it's true: if you REALLY wanted to "make your S handle well" you would have taken the money you spent on the coilovers and intake and gone to a car control performance driving school.
