Help. I need the name of an expert that I can use to appraise the damage to my S2K in the Bay Area, preferably the East Bay. Geico wants to repair it -- damages are now at @$17,000 and the advice that I have gotten universally is to total it or take the repair estimate plus salvage. My concern is that the repair estimate is a low-ball figure, a result of the body shop and Geico trying to keep the cost under the total-loss threshold. I have a right to an independent appraiser. The question is, who? Any ideas?
