induction systems
Pretty vague question that will recieve subjective answers......
What's the best "induction system?"
The one I have, of course!
Maybe this will help narrow it down,
-Is cost an issue? (ie. "bang for your buck")
-What are you looking to acquire: Horsepower, throttle response, sound......
-Do you get alot of rain in your area?
This may help you obtain some more informed responses as opposed to everyone just telling you to get what they have.
And for the record, I have a spoon snorkel and I'm very happy with it. All depends on what you're looking for though.

What's your budget? Do you plan on staying N/A, or do you plan on going forced induction?
If you're staying NA, then individual throttle bodies are the uber induction system, but you're gonna pay out the ass for a set, and then again for the AEM EMS to run 'em. Aside from that, there's a laundry list of cold air intakes that all make anywhere between 2-3 rwhp gains, with a few claiming a little more, and some resulting in losses. It all depends on what you plan on doing, and how much cash you plan on throwing at it...

Personally I am looking for power/response first, then sound, then bling. Lets devide the responses into 2 groups, one for unlimited budget (for the J's and such) and one for lower budget (aem etc.). Personally I intend on going FI so I would like a system that can still be used (if that's even possible, which I doubt) or if not then it has to be from the budget group (I'm leaning towards a K&N drop-in, AEM v2, or that muffler looking thing I saw in some of the forums).
Power/response. I'd say the high end of that would be the J's tsuchinoko. A cheaper alternative would be the K&N FIPK. You may also consider the many snorkel options out there. They retain the factory airbox which means throttle response and they deliver cooler air to the air box which means horsepower. Of course we all know that gains with an intake are marginal at best.
I believe the "muffler looking thing" you are reffering to is the PRM intake. I've heard mixed reviews. I need to get one and try it out for myself, but I'm very happy with my snorkel.
And the K&N sounds great, Ive heard the PRM does too. When you gut the airbox for the snorkel it gives it a very unique sound too, but not as loud as an exposed filter design like K&N, PRM, Comptech, etc.
J's and the snorkels are more bling, but also very functional.
And no practical intake system for N/A will be compatible with F/I.
