Default The Infamous Vertical Doors

I ordered the Vertical Door Kit for my S2000 Awhile ago from a distributor called A Spec Motorsports. The install went ok, and it looks good except for a few minor things: I installed the kit and had a little trouble with the first side (passenger). We banged in the inner fender well/ (frame of car) to get the kit to lay flat. Like it said. The only problem with it now is the the door itself does not line up. It is like it is bowed out on the top. Is this the result of hitting the fender in? Another Question.. On the driver side everything went on good and I did not bang the inside fender well in and the door lines up great. The only problem I have with this side is that the door rubs on the fender and I now have a dent that is working itself out from the inside from a bolt I assume. Have you heard of this on the S2000s? And if so what do u suggest I can do to fix these problems. Shave the hinges? Do I have to get wider fenders? This should work right It is a bolt on. HELP ME PLEASE.

I just finished my conversion as well. My car doors now open like my garage door.

Hey it was his choice to get them and now he needs help not criticism...I know how bad I'd be pissed if this happened; in fact I had a problem with my springs being too low and I'd have been even more aggrtivated if people starting asking me why I lowered the car so much...

Anyway I don't have the doors but do you have pics? Maybe I can offer advice based on that...I can't visualize what you are describing....

Wicked, the car was not designed for that kind of stress, at those angles. Significant reinforcement to the frame/body is necessary to keep everything lined up and not tweaked.
