Called today...turns out my father visited the dealership today as well, what a coincidence. Anyways, the build date was 9/28, but still no VIN I'm just excited that there was finaly some concrete information about my car...and now they have the MSRP and all, so I'm just waiting for that call about the VIN.

If so, what position are you in line?
Just wondering 'cause i'm second in line and still no info. Of course, getting info out of them is like pulling teeth. They'll probably call me when it shows up some time in the future with out any warning.

 

I'm first on the list in Reno. Mine is the next one,,, still no VIN.

I'm first on the list at my dealership as well...didn't some say earlier that Honda's holding out on shipping the 2001's until the beginning of Nov. because of the seatbelt recall in Japan? I sure hope my car arrives before Thanksgiving, or else I won't be able to see it until xmas

Dealer put me first on the list and ordered the car in July '98. Asked what color, and we filled out the paperwork Jan. '99.

Found out build date June 21, 1999

No Deposit!

Got car Sept. 18, 1999

 

Jay, did you have to make any deposit?

 

$500, and it's refundable if for some reason I decide to pass on the car (yeah right!)

I was guaranteed my color choice at MSRP.
