Default Injen defect???

I just installed my Injen intake and I noticed that the red vent hose outlet is located on the top part of the intake. Here is the pic

But I saw some other people have the Injen intake, the vent outlet is located at the side. Here is the pic

Now, my problem is that I cannot put any type of strut tower brace on my car. It will not clear for that stupid vent outlet.
Are there a 1st and 2nd generation of Injen intake system?

I need some help and suggestions here guys and gals.

thanks

From what I've heard, a strut tower bar is of little to no benefit in the S2000. Get an X-brace instead, and you'll be set.

Looks like the guy on the Injen production line had a "GOOFY" day.

Damn, nevermind, now I do! I have heard the STB is worthless if you have an X-brace...most people simply refer to it as "bling-bling"...take from that what you will.

Ok, It might be nothing.
But look at the braket, see how the first pic there is a gap between the bolt and the end of the braket? Maybe if you push it into the braket more you would be able to turn it?
Just a thought?
