My daughter's MY01 has a crappy "custom" exhaust - some ghetto shop did it for the car before she got it. I'd be interested in a stock exhaust that someone wants to get rid of cheap. Shipping will be a problem, so Houston area would be good.

Done! What a massive pain in the ass. The rubber mounts were a complete nightmare to remove, had to use tons of dish soap. Had to wait for the PB to penetrate the freaking bolts, too, that took forever. Oh well, looks and sounds great Thanks for the confidence, it can be done alone!

 

Well that didn't work; there are leaks on both sides. How does the pipe coming from the muffler join to the other pipe? Is one supposed to fit inside the other or are they just supposed to touch and then be clamped together?

 

The slip fittings? Mine leak moisture sometimes too. I thought this was part of the design?

 

Not sure, never encountered these. They have the two gashes on the side, are those to open them up so one pipe will fit inside the other?

 

i've done 2 exhausts on and off myself. It can suck at times, hands always help but if your excited to do it DO IT!!

 

you can do it on your own. i've done mine a few times. make sure you remove the stock tips so they don't get scratched/banged up.

 

For the slip fittings, the pipe with cuts on it fits over the outside of the other pipe. Should clamp down nice and tight.
