Hey Howie,
Being a "photographer & camera guy"......I can't see why people don't get a digital camera!
Scanners are fine but let's face it, "we need it now" is a BIG part of computing!
Olympus has the BEST digital starting at only $249.00 and it fits in your shirt pocket!
Remember, digital is BEYOND "photographic" quality now as comparied to 35mm!

To answer some questions posed on this thread:

Have not had a chance to test at speed for air leaks yet.

Did not remove w/s pillar tape yet. Haven't decided whether to or not. Actually the hardtop has black trim around the door window openings and the black pillars blend nicely with that so am not sure removing tape would look better.

I have a scanner but first you have to take pictures with a regular camera, have them developed, etc.

The General, I live in Green Hills area, just off Abbott Martin Rd., about a mile from Green Hills Shopping Center.

BTW, my neighbor and I are working on a design for a HT hoist. Will keep you informed

Hi guys, congratulations on 1) getting your hardtops and 2) getting them installed.

One question: I have been hearing how huge the delivery box/crate is and I'm wondering if it's realistic for me to contemplate picking it up from the dealer myself. If you don't have dimensions, could you give me a clue to the size? Would it fit into a pick-up truck bed? Minivan? Station wagon? Thanks in advance!

Andrewewing and The General, thanks for posting the install hints!

The dealer measured it at 5ft. X 5ft. X just under 3ft. After seeing it myself, that's pretty close. I ended up taking it out of the box and bringing it home in the back of a mini van. The box should fit in a full size pick up on a slant.

Yes LATEOTT we picked up both tops from the trucking company (they wanted $90 extra to deliver to my house) in a full size pickup. Boxes are HUGE but will fit on a slant in pickup but wouldn't try in anything smaller.

General: Page 1 of the hardtop install PDF file posted by Trevor @ Topnotch showed the kit contained 20 separate parts (some were multiple parts - like the bolts). However, your pics didn't show that many. Did you find any parts were missing?

1Y2KS2K: As for the bolts, these were not duplicates, they're a bit longer than the stock bolts (for the added thickness of the brackets). My kit was missing: cushions for rubber bumper caps (although my car had the 10mm bumpers so I didn't actually need them), oval VIN sticker (the dealer is working on getting me another one). All in all, no big deal. I'm quite happy with the whole kit. No noises except for when the car has been out in the cold the seals where the top rests on its glass squeaks until the heater gets going. The General may have his own comments about this.
