Installed a C's short shift kit last night. Got a question
How much does it cost? It was given to me for nothing from a complete stranger. He used to have an "S" but got rid of it. He also told me his left arm was paralyzed due to a motorcycle accident. So he had purchased the C's short shifter to reduce the throw because he was using only his right arm. To make a long story short, this guy drove an hour from where we were to his house to pick it up, and an hour back to the area I ran into him to give it to me along with a book about the S2000 and a little Honda history. REally nice guy. Don't run into many of those
Chris
P.S.-oh yeah, its a good thing he didn't install it because the throw is shorter, but the gears feel so much closer now it rediculous. 5th and 6th are a bitch to find. But I'm sure once I get used to it, it'll be fine. But I'm very impressed with how short and close the gear throw now feels

I just can't fathom wanting to change anything about the S2000's shifter. It's perfect. The throws are short, crisp, and the gates are easy to find.
If I was you, I'd take it off -- but to each his own

That was really nice of him. The shifter is about $100. Now, I agree with damcgee though, it doesn't make sense to use that shifter. IMO now you have a greater chance to F up when downshifting. The shifter was designed for RHD vehicles hence the tilt toward that side.
Sorry, let me correct myself, I think you installed it the correct and only way. It isn't suppose to lean toward the right side of the vehicle. It is my feeling that since it leans more toward the left side of the vehicle, it is more likely to cause an incorrect gear change.
