Installed Rick's Aeroscreen
Rick, I really think you should put a butt pucker rating on your products.
I got my windscreen yesterday. I didn't have time to do anything then, so I did it today. The mechanism is really hard to disassemble. I was scared I would break something. After I got it apart the rest was simple. By the way, the factory glue came out of the holes, so I removed it completely. I can't wait to put it on the car tomorrow (after the glue/caulk sets).

Molly,
I discovered when I did an install for a friend that a stiff one-inch putty knife is a great tool for taking apart the mechanism. I had the thing apart in five minutes. Sorry I didn't emphasis that in the instructions, but I'm glad you got it done.
You'll love how it looks on your car.
Rick

The silicone caulk is used in the places where Honda used glue to hold the two pieces of the mechanism together. If you don't use the glue, the piece facing the car interior will work loose over time.

I've been driving top down with the Rick's new screen for a couple of days. What can I say? It's brilliant! Really cuts the wind down to zero and makes fast driving a real pleasure. It's just amazing what a difference it makes.
Installation was a cinch. However, I found that splitting the "ears" was easier when using a small screwdriver to pry the sides apart at the very tip. I couldn't figure out how to do that using only a credit card.
Thanks again Rick. What a hero!

I've got my 7/8th height Rick Hesel Signature aeroscreen installed. It makes a noticeable difference over the stock one, and looks very nice
. Thanks again, Rick!
As usual, Rick's instructions were well written and very easy to follow.
I do have two questions, though:
1) what's the best way to polish out a small scratch?
Plexus does a good job cleaning, but won't remove the scratch that I somehow put in. What's the recommended polish product/technique?
2) has anyone tried Rick's suggestion of plastic bumpers to keep the aeroscreen from vibrating in the wind?
I notice the movement in my rearview mirror, and it is a little distracting. I'm trying to figure out weather to use clear or black rubber bumpers, and what kind of glue to use that will hold in the hot/cold/wind/etc.
Thanks,
Ted
