Default Installing new throttle body

Who has changed their throttle body? What did you change to and how hard was it to install...Does the intake manifold always match the new throttle body or do you have to do some custom work?

I reinstalled my tb after ProFlow bored it out. It is a fairly easy procedure and no intake manifold modifications were required.

Mingster replaced his with Spoon tb and again nothing else was done or needed to be.

Proflow and spoon should basically yield the same results..

Here are the instructions for installing the TB..

With the Proflow TB you can do a trade-in, or have your own bored (quicker turn-around). As for Spoon, you're buying a brand new TB that is bored, that's why it's so much.

I just sent my TB in Wednesday, figured I'd do this while the car is out of commission.

I'm sending mine in Monday!

They sound like a good operation. I heard your car was out of commission. How is the rear/tranny coming? I think that is what you are getting re-done?

You aren't running NOS with your SC are you? I'm looking at getting NOS, not going to do the SC...a little too steep $ for me.

Pretty easy job...

Removing some of the hoses was a little bit tough, and put a towel underneath the t.b. to catch the few drips of coolant that will escape.

I did the proflow.
