Installing S2000 OEM Grille?
Hey all,
Owner of an '05 Silverstone that I got a few months back with 1500 on the odo. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards I ran over a blown tire on the freeway that ripped off the plastic grille and slightly damaged the condenser and bumper. Pretty much every other car in that lane ran over it but of course the low-slung S2K was probably the only one to take damage... bah
I bought a new grille from the dealer (~$50), but I realized a few minutes after talking to the service personnel that, contrary to their swagger, they had NO FRIGGIN IDEA how to put it on. Does anyone have experience taking off or putting on an OEM grille? From the diagrams the parts guy (who was much more helpful) showed me, there are no screws or rivets... it looks like the whole thing is just held on by double-stick tape. Wanted to see if anyone had any advice here before trying to 'tape' it back on.
Thanks!

There is 10 "speed nuts" that are used to hold it in place. The part number is 90301-S2A-003. They cost about $1 each. They push onto the pins on the grill when the grill is inplace on the bumper. It is easiest to install with the bumper off of the car. You might be able to install it with the front part of the underpanels removed.
Personally, I used "pop rivets" to hold mine in place. One small box on the freeway was all it took to pop the grill (and pins) off. So far this has worked great. Poor design is all I can say.
