Default Installing a set of eyelids...

Hey guys, I just received a set of eyelids for my AP1 and before I install them with some of the good 3m tape I wanted to know if the double-sided tape would leave marks on the headlights? I have have already went through the trouble of installing JDM clear diffusors so I don't want to mess up the headlight finish if I decide to take them off once I get tired of the new look . I think it should just peel off, but I just want to make sure and see if anyone has any previous experience with this. Thanks.

Yeah, I've had mine on and off several times. No worries.

The eyelids were installed on my car with 3m double sided tape -- the black kind..whatever that was. It was a pita to get off the plastic when I was removing them for the baking process. Took about 20min or so with goo gone, a hard sponge with soap, and a razor blade. It did however come off the fiberglass eyelid relitivly easy (easy meaning about 10min a lid).

The upside was that then tape was NOT coming off the head light even if you were going 1000mph. Had to use fishing line to do it.

I'd probably suggest getting a slim version of the double sided tape. The kind I had was kind of bulky / thick and it made the eyelid stick up more then it should.

Just some suggestions! Hope it helps!

Spec_ops... thanks man . I just bought some of the automotive 3m tape, the thin, red kind. I held my m3 lip spoiler on with that stuff so i'm pretty sure it will work with the eyelids. I'm off to put them on, be back in a few.
