Me and my friend put my tein S-techs in this weekend. I figured I would take pictures of the install and post them.
I did the back first, took out all of the lining and the spare tire. It makes it a lot easier if you take off the rear strut bar, and taking out the gas like makes it 10x easier to get to the rear bolts and its a lot easier than it looks.
There is one bolt on the inside and 3 inside the gas door.
I loosened the top bolt on the spring while it is still on the car because it is a lot easier I used a allen wrench and a wrench to get it loose.
Then unbolt the two other bolts on top (make suer you don't drop the screws in the hole around the shock.)
Unbolt the 17mm bolt at the bottom of the shock.
Once everything is unbolted you need to have some one stand on the rotor and you need to pull the bottom of the shock toward you and it will pop right out.
To get the top screw out without the bolt shooting off in your face i put the shock up against a tire and the curb.
Putting the shock back in is a PITA! The first one is always the hardest. Bolt down the two top shock bolts and then bolt down the bottom 17mm bolt. One person push down on the rotor and the other one guide the screw in with a screwdriver. Use a screwdriver to line the holes up.
Now for the fronts.
Unbolt the two top 12mm bolts first, Then unbolt the 10mm brakeline bolt. Then the 17mm bolt.
Next remove the the 2 17mm upper Y-arm bolts ( I used a pipe to get more leverage because they are really on there.) The shocks will come right out.
Do everything in reverse to put them back it is actually pretty easy to put everything back and aligning the holes on the bottom of the shocks were a lot easier on the front too. Thats pretty much everything it was a lot easier that I thought it was going to be only took me about 3 hours.
