Insurance
Over this past weekend, a friend of mine rolled my S2K. (Twice).
Obviously it is totaled.
Anyone know what insurance companies are paying out for the 2001 model???
Seeing how we both walked away, I think a 2002 (blue) is in order.. Very well built car..

Something I've always wondered about when I hear someone rolled one of these cars -- since most people's heads stick up higher than the roll hoops, did either of your heads contact the ground? Obviously you didn't hit hard, but did you touch at all? If not, do you have any idea why? Or did it just happen too fast?
I'm really pleased to hear you're OK, but it just amazes me that you can roll an S2000 and not get hurt.
Oh -- To answer your question, I'm paying about $550 a year in North Carolina.

I will post some pictures on Monday of the car. Does not look good.
As for getting hurt, well the drive (a 5'4 girl) suffered a concussion, and a bit of neck pain.
As for me, well, my head it something.. not sure what though.
A bit sore, but nothing else.. Got some glass in my right eye, vision is a tiny bit blurry. But returning. It is amazing anyone walked away..
As for the windshield, it was just about touching the dash on the passenger side of the car. No idea "how" we both walked away.
Hats off to Honda.
And be careful of who you let drive your car.

Wow! That's pretty serious after all, but it could easily have been much worse. Hats off to Honda, indeed, and to your good luck as well. (You may want to stay out of casinos for a while since you may have used some of your future supply.)
Here's hoping your friend heals quickly and that your eye is OK.

Sorry it took so long to get back..
As far as details, lets see.
We were basically coming back from the store, and she (the girl driving) wanted to get on the car. So, after about 20 minutes or so, I guess she felt comfortable with the way it handles.
She wound up taking a corner around 65 or so, not too fast, but lost the rear end.
It did not look like it was raining, or anything like that.
We went into a ditch, about 10 feet down or so.
After hitting the ditch, we rolled the 2 times.
Front windshield on the passenger side was touching the dash, but somehow neither me nor her were hurt bad. Just a little neck pain.
Not much else to tell really.. Happen so fast that I cannot remember more then that.
On another note, I have been getting ready to order a Blue 2002 S2000.
