Default Insurance quote knocked me on my ass.

So I am getting my dad's s2k transferred into my name and I called to get an insurance quote for it the other day from 21st century. I am still under my parent's insurance so my rates weren't too bad with my old GS-T.

I got a quote for 2300/6mo. under my PARENTS insurance. WTF. That is full coverage and I am 21 years old with 1 speeding ticket on my record. That's $200 more a month for insurance compared to my GS-T.

Can anyone recommend me to a more reasonable insurance company because that's crazy.

I have 21st century too and I'm paying about the same under my parents insurance.

I really doubt you'll find anything lower considering your age and that ticket. If you find another place and still want to be under your parents insurance then they would have to switch as well. If you go on your own, GOOD LUCK!

Keeping this car ain't cheap!

Try USAA if you can get them, i pay 1200 for 6 months. Full coverage, with 3 speeding tickets and an accident but not my fault. I'm also 22 though....

In Boston for me it would have been 2400 a year. Here in Arizona my insurance is 4400 a year.

Steep, but expected. Keep shopping..that's your only option..or you could opt for the bare bone economic plan.

For a CRX Si? OUCH.

And it doesn't drop until 25, eh?
