Default Interest in a Turbo?

Please post interest in a turbo kit for the S2K. I am also looking into a stroker kit, and a full stroker/turbo kit. I need to know how many people might be interested in this kind of work, and at what price.
Coices would be
Stroked NA 2.2l
Turbo stock internals (low boost)
Turbo low compression (high boost)
and Turbo high boost stroked
Please post serious interest so that I can judge wheather or not it is worth my money for developing.
Thanks for your time

I`d be interested in the boost kit and good low comp pistons. I`d like to know what components (turbo, wastegate, IC, etc) were being used 1st.

I don`t think the stroker kit would sell.

Wastegate and IC would be custom made to fit the application, which in my opinion is much better than using one that exists and then rigging it to fit the car. The wastegate will need to be properly sized to create min spool time. The people I have working on it are experts at wastegates, so this should be no problem. The pistons would be JE and I already have them working on the compression down to 9.5 for the turbo application. The turbo will most likely be a garret twin ceramic ball bearing turbo, reaching full boost on a stock internal motor by about 2500 to 3000 or so at about 6 to 7 psi. On the low compression motor we could run 14 or so psi and the boost would be at 3k. On the stroker, I will be running 20 psi and the full boost would be also at 3k. The crank and rods in the stroker kit will be full billet, made by a company that does top fuel cars. HP figures are anyones guess, but mathematicly impressive *on paper*.
Hope this helps

I love the idea of a turbo - and you mentioned three great points. Low comp forged pistons, IC and full bearing cartrige. Your best bet on a ball bearing turbo are the HKS GT series. I think Allied Signal has a deal w/ HKS where they only sell the full ball bearing cartriges in the US and Garrett overseas. The turbonetics cartrige is a single bearing and not as sweet at the GT series. These spool like butter.

You also mentioned spooling to 14psi at 3k. I dont see why you would want so much boost so low. Your A/R on the hot side will be extremely restrictive - maybe less than 48. Running our motors to 9K, I would think you would want a much higher turbine A/R - bumping the up the efficiency. The more efficient you build the turbo, the less patchwork you'll need and you could run a more aggressive timing curve. I can't commment on how sensitive the OEM knock sensors are, but turbos dont amount to squat if the ECU is pulling the timing back or it cant react in time and boom!

On a motor like ours - I could guess the GT35 series would fit nicely. I dont have the specifics in front of me - so its just a guess. These turbo do cost about 2K - but well worth it.

Another viable option is a Silvia T28 (full bearing Garrett, T25 footprint) at 8-10 psi and water injection at stock compression. This would be cheaper and the T28s are pretty efficient right out of the box and spool fairly low.

Good luck

I like the idea of a stroker kit, but how big can you go considering the engine revs to 9000rpm? How about a big bore kit instead?
