Miata folks are friendly ppl, you should of waved back instead of being a dickhead.

+1. A wave is a wave. How did the OP determine his intent behind the wave? Be careful before you toss out those facepalms.

I've had plenty of other converible drivers wave at me while in my S. Maitas, 350/370 Z's, a 240 convertible once, Boxsters. But the one that stands the most was a dude in a Lamborghini Murcielago convertible that waved at my and my parents (I was in the S, they were in a Miata). I thought, wow a Lambo owner who isn't a douche (not saying all are, just most seem that way).

Plus one.
In fact I notice convertibles more now that I have one and it seems that "a convertible is a convertible" may be the real mindset.

Miata folk will wave at anybody; I certainly did when I had one.

I think I've had ONE S2000 owner return a wave in five years since getting mine.

I still can't understand those who mistake S2K for Miata's...S hood is just as long as the whole miata

IDK i was waiting in a parking for my friend to get off work.

I dont like MX5/Miatas myself but i don't have anything against ppl that drive them.

I get a lot of people on Bikes/Crotch Rocket's waving at me

this is too funny, I also had the same thing happen just a few days ago. I was filling up at a local gas station, as i was putting gas in my car, some lady and a older gentleman man asked what kind of honda was that, I told her it was a 04 s2000, she looked at me with a confused look on her face and said, she had worked on a honda dealership 6-7 yrs ago and never heard of a s2000, lol. she also didnt believe me that the car was an 04, lmao. as far as miata fans, i was driving home from work couple days ago, and a older gentleman driving a newer miata waved, i waved back. lol
