I hope I'm the first to ask this question on here - if not, sorry. The reason I ask is because I would like to swap a black interior for a tan one. This would obviously have to be from a 2003 model. I'm trying to get an idea of what peices need to be bought. I've already looked into the leather center console.

How much of the interior pieces can be swapped from a 2000/2001 to a 2002/2003 S? Can the door panels be swapped - those tweeters look like they change the colored part slightly?

Some of the pieces are a little different (tweeter, trim on the handles, etc.) But the parts should be basically interchangable.

If you are only looking for the leather pieces like the console cover, door inserts and seats you should be fine. There is a link in my sig regarding my all black to red/black interior swap. There should be some very good info in there on how to swap out the door panel inserts.

Basically, this will be an expensive project. It will be nearly impossible to find these pieces "in the wild." Junk yards, ebay, etc. Honda wants about $1000 just for the leather seat covers. I never got around to the door panel inserts.

Rick's is working on replacement leather for the seats. I am not sure where they are on this quest. AFAIK they have not offered tan for any of their leather parts yet. It's worth an e-mail to Rick to find out.

Ruex - thanks for the info. There are a few people out there with 2003 white/tans who are looking to swap for Black - I work at a Honda dealership, so the installation will probably run me about a 12 pack of Bud. My main concern is those door panels - if we're going from a black 2000 interior to a tan 2003 interior, it looks like there is a significant difference.

 

Just the plastic. I am about 98% sure that the inserts are identical and can be easily swapped.
