Invitation for Xviper to Return
Fortunately or unfortunately I missed all the recent fireworks between beig and xviper. I understand these threads caused people to take sides causing a bit of a rift in our s2ki community. This is extremely unfortunate. I really don't know either of these men personally. However, it's not uncommon for people to say things in the heat of the moment that they later regret. I read beig's post about Mr. Honda and printed it out as required reading for my two teenage boys. I have also benefited several times from xvipers vast knowledge and advice. Losing this knowledge base would be a huge loss for all of US, IMHO. I for one, don't want that knowledge base to disappear because of a pissing contest. If there is some history between these 2 gentlemen then I suggest they avoid replying to each others posts. I've been on this forum since last July and have seen several posts I agreed with and benefited from (winterizing tips) and those I disagreed with (I went 150MPH!!). The bottom line is there are thousands of us on this forum and we need to respect that people are different. We all have different backgrounds, come from different cultures, etc. Isn't that what makes being a human being so cool? So there's nobody on this forum who is going to agree with everything said. And that's the way it should be. Losing xviper permanently would be a loss I am not willing to accept. I'm not saying he is the S2000 God. Just that he has knowledge that I and others don't have about the car and I want the opportunity to tap into that knowledge from time to time, either by reading his posts or asking him a specific question via a PM.
I consider my time spent on this forum time well spent. And that goes beyond the car. I've met some people I would consider e-friends as well as "real" friends from our local community forum. This has served to enrich my life (and hopefully theirs). I don't want to lose that. I don't want the forum to swirl down the ceramic bus and have every other post be this faction against that faction. So can we put the guns down, welcome xviper back, and go back to talking about the car. Life is just too short. My .02.

I find myself laughing my ass off when a couple of members start going at it on the web. Really I think it's funnier than 90% of the crap I see on T.V. these days. Kind of reminds me of many years ago I worked in a warehouse and a couple of extreme religious types would hold little Bible prayer meeting with a dozen or so hopeful "converts" at break time. One day one of the leaders of this group had a disagreement with the other leader over some minor biblical interpretation. What followed was our own miniature holy war. These idiots split into their own religious factions each taking about half of their followers with them. The point I'm trying to make is we all love cars. Most of us love S2000's. Isn't that enough common ground for us to, in the words of Rodney King "Can't we just all get along?"
xviper, I didn't see the recent chaos associated with Bieg and most likely by his own fault but you should not end your participation in this community because of one idiot.
I, for one, have benefited greatly from your how-tos and vast information and I'm sure many feel the same way. This forum has provided many with immense information, endless entertainment and more importantly created many friendships and that is invaluable. Your knowledge, contribution and participation is a part of this community.

OhioRacer, I agree with you. Having been here for a while I can't believe how much I have learned from xviper and how so many other people have helped me when I needed it. As far as s2ki as a community, wow, just in Toronto alone I have met several people who will most likely be my friends for life. As a member I will say, when my membership is up I clearly will not only renew, but will move up to gold.
wc_one, I disagree with you and question the value of your post!
