That isn't the new BMW, is it?
me too, a guy in a $400,000 Bently Turbo R asked my if it was the ( at the time ) New Z8. The guy loved it, said he must pick one up, I offered to trade him, but he declined
As for the Z3 stuff, I think the Z3 is a prominent car, and what most people think of when they see a roadster. Like asking for a kleenex, and being told no I'm sorry I only have tissues..

In Wyoming, it usually gets mistaken for a Mattel.
Here an F350 is considered a standard vehicle and an F150 is a compact for someone who wants to save on gas or has another vehicle to pull his horse trailer.

To me the Z3 is an interpretation of a classic BMW. Traditional top notch engineering placed into a package that is intended to visually draw upon the rich classic beauty (?) and history of the marque.
The S2000 is a modern interpretation of all those things racey such as Formula One. State of the art engineering placed into a sharp clean design that looks to the future and does not draw upon the past.
Both are great, both are different. Obviously my money goes to Honda because they brought the variables together that I respond best to.

I get mistaken for a lot of cars , down here in LA. Most people know what the car is now though. Guess we have a lot of them down here, so people have seen them before.
Good reply back to the driver though, Rick.

I'm having fun with it. With my S2000, I shaved the S2000 off the sides, nosed and decked it (removing the emblems.) People would stop and look at the hub caps then pronounce they knew what it was. After running at Willow last week I left the hubcaps off and now they have to look inside the car for a hint.
