Story:

I purchased a J's Type V full CF version hood from Evasive Motorsports a few weeks ago and purchased the hood over the phone and was quoted that it was a hood that had slight damanged and currently not at their new facillity(which i agreed to, condition, etc). The hood i received was the CF/FRP version which is not I was told over a 3 day conversation over phone calls. Once I was confirmed many times that it was the full cf version, i trusted them and made the order over the phone w/ my CC. My conversation below are with Evasive- Dennis. I have asked them either compensate me what is fair, at the beginning 300$ and settling now for 200$ and a hood i did not request and was misquoted or have them refund me full and they pay for shipping at their expense. I have been a long time faithful customer of 1 specific sponsor on s2ki.com(steve -Evolution-4yrs) and ventured out to others receintly. All I ask for this sponsor is to compromise on their behalf, show they are at fault, and i'll settle w/ a product that i did not request or have it sent back at no cost to me.

Wow man that stinks. I also had an issue with Evasive over a set of EK fog lights. I will not purchase from them again.

I bought 2 Buddy Club seat rails last thursday. I got my tracking number today. The package was delivered to my old apartment yesterday, but in the paypal receipt and the order confirmation they sent me, it has my new address.
Not completely Evasive's fault, as that address might be the 'confirmed paypal address,' but it specifically listed my current address as the shipping address.
Not only that, UPS delivered it to my old apt and said that a person with the last name Tam (my last name) signed for it. I don't even live there anymore. I couldn't have signed for it.
I'm still waiting for a resonse from them. It's been 3 hours.

 

Wow, so let me get this straight.. Evasive Motorsports sent you the WRONG product, something you did NOT ask for, and their only compromise is to have you PAY for their mistake.

That's some awesome customer service right there.

Props on being polite through the whole ordeal, I know it's something most people can't do in situations like this. It's a shame they're not willing to accept it as their fault and refund you all of your money.

That's like going to a used car dealership and telling them you want an S2000 but instead they give you a Miata and make you pay restocking fees. All because one of their employees couldn't tell the difference between the two. Not very professional at all on their part.

 

Dang John...sorry to hear that. I even remember you telling me how you got a great deal on this hood and that you hope it was full CF as promised. Sucks to hear! I hope you get everything worked out.

Hey John,

I was not the one that dealt with you but Dennis had asked me about this a few times. I understand there some miscommunication in the transaction, obviously you were assuming we had the full CF/CF hood but we were under the impression that you wanted the CF/FRP hood.

I told dennis that since things were not clearified in the beginning , we were under the impression that you are fully aware of the condition and the type of hood we are offering. I believe you did not specifically ask us if the hood is CF/CF but just if the hood was carbon or not.

I think we simply just had an issue of miscommunication between you and dennis and I want to straighten this situation out ASAP, please give me a call at your earliest convinience and we'll get to the buttom of it.

I appreciate the effort in getting this resolved. I honestly had no choice but to post this after i was told what i was told. If we read the short story above, it shows that the miscommunication started when the reps at Evasive did not know the differences between the 2 CF version that J's manufactors, a full CF version (which is what was on the PM), and a cf/frp. I will settle for a product that I first did not request and will keep if I received additional compensation for or Evasive to take back the product and refund me in full and Evasive return the product at your cost.

I have heard many good reviews about your company and at the time confident that what I was being told and going to receive was the product I repeated asked to ensure it was correct. I hope we can resolve this issue.

This is a really easy case for you. Just dispute the CC charges if they won't make it right. You can clearly document your trail and they sent you the WRONG item. It isn't as if you assumed it was full CF and never asked.... This is a perfect situation for a CC dispute. Be glad you used one. Also- please post the results as if they make good you want to make sure it shows in this thread.

 

why don't you just call them seriously. don't try to argue back and forth with shops over a chat box and then pick at every little word. and honestly, if you KNEW that there's a CF/FRP, CF/CF, and a FRP, WHY would you not ask if the bottom is FRP or CF??? instead of just saying FULL CF? sounds like you're the one pulling a fast one now. if you're so knowledgeable about the damn hood, and so picky w/ other people's words, why wouldn't you try to be more specific yourself. i've never had any problems w/ them and they're always willing to help me out.
