ITBs have throttle response that FI could only dream of, and are deceptively fast on the track.

In terms of sheer power/speed though, FI is the way to go.

The only advantage I can see to ITBs is avoiding the downsides of FI, reduced reliability (and don't let anybody tell you otherwise), reduced gas mileage (and, again, don't let anybody tell you otherwise).

I'm not knocking FI...I wish I could afford to do it...its f***in great! And there could be reliability issues with ITBs that I am unaware of since I have never owned a set. They sure look like sex, though.

(By "reduced reliability" I mean anything from a few easy-to-fix check engine lights to IC pipe couplers coming uncoupled to thrown accessory belts to melted pistons to broken drive train parts, depending on how well the system is designed, the quality of installation, the state of tune, the way it is driven etc. etc.)

Also, with ITBs theres no air filter and the air goes straight to the cylinder unfiltered. This isn't good as you can see.
