Well I've now got 2800 miles on my S in 6 weeks (Oh dear!!) and I have been noticing a quite dramatic
increase in the engines urgency, response and power delivery. My old ITR had 12k miles on it when I
got it so I am not familiar with this, but -any of you guys out there with a good few miles on- is there
more to come?

Cheers,

I have about 2,500 miles on mine. This weekend a few of us ran about 100 miles of canyons and at the end of the afternoon, my car felt crisper and more powerful. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but when I was breaking mine in, the engine note sounded kind of off, almost tinny. It was as if each part was working independently. As I added miles it began to sound more solid, with the engine note getting deeper and more guttural.

I have to say, it gets better each day-and even better when I run it hard.

After 17K miles, I'm expecting warp speed any day now!

i keep seeing these posts, and have noticed the "apparent" increase in power...
has anyone dyno tested the car over a period of time to document this?
is it a real increase, or just an apparent increase?

In some VCD edition of Hot Version magazine, the S2K modding company Amuse was observing that the car started out at 219hp brand new and worked its way up to ~250hp after 10000km (6000mi? le car?) That was the first I had heard of all of this a long time ago.. and then I came on here and found hearsay aplenty about this issue. In other words, I'm convinced this is the case, other than my own personal observations that my car is "gelling" really well with almost 7000 miles on it now, which of course makes me do this ---------->
